I’m an older, married man and I have to say I think you are doing a really beneficial service for people with your blog. My wife and I have been happily together for over 30 years. While we were dating, she disclosed that she masturbated quite often. I admired her courage and openess and thought her very mature in her approach to sex. I was not threatened by her disclosure but relieved that we were not starting from scratch so to speak in our sexual life together. Here’s something additional to consider on the subject of masturbation.

Masturbation during sex has been a constant throughout our marriage and has insured our mutual satisfaction over the years. A few years ago, injuries and illness for her and myself have made certain average sexual activities impossible. Lately I have found one of my greatest sexy-time pet peeves comes after staying up all night having a great time. Not that having sex all night is bad, no no it’s great. But when I have three hours to sleep before getting up and working a nine hour shift I absolutely hate it when I get woken up an hour later to “hey, hey are you awake? Wanna do it? huh? huh? what about now?… etcetera” That’s a deal breaker for me. No matter how good it was, no second chances.

ok as I’m entering the crone age, I’ll skip the rebuttal to Grandma’s sags and bags.

OMG, I’ve been on that flight, like every time I fly through Denver. Once again, great article. I really love how you address both “sides” of the argument, mentioning things guys should avoid as well as giving reasons why they might do them. I know my body temperature sky rockets after sex. Great job, and keep up the good work!
